With the release of their debut EP Gegendemonstration in 2024, Brandenburg-based quartet Mißträu already showcased that it is still possible to intertwine musical genres in a coining way to bring forth a tone that has not yet been there. On Gegendemonstration, Mißträu intertwined Post-Punk radiating a strong nod towards NDW with a framework of Black Metal. What emerged was a debut that convinced with a sound that was highly individual and difficult to grasp. On those 6 original tracks, this band showcased that they were capable to manage the full range from Post-Punk (“In der Schwebe”), its entire way across everything in between the aforementioned and Black Metal (“Wer Zu Leben Weiß”) right into full-blown Black Metal (“Verabscheuungswürde”).

Now, two years later, Mißträu return with the physical release of their debut EP on 12” vinyl. Not only are we going to get this EP on vinyl format, but it also comes with the release of a new, second EP on its B-side that goes by the name of Leidensgenossen. On this new EP, Mißträu reappeared in the guise of Post-industrial and ambient noise textures which were previously showcased in tracks like “Das Gelächter Begraben”. Diffuse and chaotic soundscapes intertwine with abstracted narration and eccentric sonic elements. A mood piece that is simultaneously abrasive and solemn.

Bleeding Heart Nihilist and Cultkill Music are proud to be able to present the release of this package of Gegendemonstration (A-side) and Leidensgenossen (B-side) on limited black 12” vinyl.
